Extra curricular clubs, intervention & library

As schools are returning to more 'normal' working conditions we are delighted to be able to expand on our offer beyond the curriculum. Information about our full extra-curricular programme will be launched soon. Students will be notified through form time of events and clubs that they may wish to join or try out and information will also feature on our website and social media platforms. Some clubs and events are already being promoted in school with many more to follow.

Library information

The library is open before school for homework. It is also open for all students at break times, lunchtimes and after school until 4:15pm, with the exception of Fridays when it closes at 4:00pm.

Access to the library is through a signing up system, places are limited.

The library offers many resources including fiction and non-fiction books, revision guides, textbooks and magazines.  Students can access computers in the library and in the adjoining IT suite which can be used for school work.  Students are welcome to use the library to read and work.

There may be occasions when the library is closed. Notification will be given in advance and students should check the library door for notices of closure.

For after school access, students must sign up and ensure that parents/carers are aware of the additional time being spent in school.

Students are able to loan a maximum of 3 books for up to 2 weeks. They may also renew the book as long as it has not been reserved by another student.

Students must follow the Rye HIlls Academy code of conduct at all times when in the library or adjoining IT rooms at social times.
