We had plenty to celebrate today as the Class of 2026 open their their much anticipated GCSE results.
Headline figures saw 75% of students achieve a Grade 4 or above in both English and maths, with 55% awarded a Grade 5 or above. Although many students performed very well, there were some outstanding individual results with Phoebe W achieving an incredible nine Grade 9s - the top award available at GCSE. Amelia J opened her envelope to see seven Grade 9s and Houzaifa A and Lainey G were awarded five Grade 9s each. These exceptional results reflect the students' hard work, commitment and dedication to their studies.
Speaking of her delight at the students' achievements, Headteacher, Loiuse Jones said:
"We were delighted to welcome students back into school to collect their results and share in this special moment today. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces, hear the excitement in the hall, and watch the hard work, determination and resilience of our students pay off.
These results are a reflection of the commitment our students have shown throughout their studies, overcoming challenges and striving to be their very best. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and the dedication they have demonstrated along the way.
A huge thank you also goes to our staff, families and wider school community for the support and encouragement they have provided throughout our students' journeys. Congratulations to all of our students. We wish you every success as you take your next steps and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the future."
