David Scott

David has lived locally for most of his life and is passionate about education and supporting the local community.

Formerly a member of the Armed Forces 2nd Royal Tank Regiment and a Police Officer, and following on from volunteering for 10 years as a crewmember of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (R.N.L.I) in Redcar, David is now employed by the R.N.L.I. as the Area Lifesaving Manager for North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

David's role requires the management of the volunteers and staff teams of Lifeboat Crew and Lifeguards that deliver a 24/7 professional lifesaving service on the Yorkshire coastline for the community and its visitors. Day to day his role involves auditing training records, finance, asset management, equipment inspections and undertaking Risk Assessments and Health and Safety investigations and also fundraising for our charity.

Personally, David is married with two daughters and in his spare time, enjoys technology, home automation and music and cinema.
